THE FIRST EUROPEAN WAR OF THE XXI CENTURY
The installation includes a table hockey (with action figures) and projection - on and above it. Shadows of the table hockey players are superimposed with YouTube found footage of Russian helicopters flying over Abkhazia during Russian-Georgian War of 2008 (which is often regarded as the first European war of the XXI century). Players look like viewers standing up in the middle of the movie to leave the cinema theatre. Where in fact are their shadows? Are they on the screen or inside the mountain landscape? Where do the helicopters come from and where do they head to? What is the level of subjectness we ouselves live, frozen day by day behind or in front of some screen, onto which images of war are projected from an unknown space, always delocalised.
